What are music apps for free?

Music & Audio apps for free are a great way to take advantage of all that Android offers. Depending on what exactly one is looking for, there are many types of apps out there. Music & Audio apps can vary from simply being able to play an instrument with an app up to recording music and playing it back later.

What is Google Play Music?

Google Play Music is a free application offered by Google that allows users to upload their own songs and playlists from their personal collection and purchase new tracks from the store. It also allows them access to full song streaming from various artists and albums available on the market, thus becoming a complete solution for all those looking to create their own online music library.

What music app is the best?

This is always a hotly contested topic and one that I am all too happy to join in on. Everyone has their own preference for music & audio apps, so this list will be full of opinions. If your favorite app isn’t here, it’s probably because I don’t think it belongs here. Let’s start with my favorite:
Ever since Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” was released, the stock music player was given Android’s default UI – swipe-able panels for navigation between songs, albums, artists, playlists, etc. Google Play Music looks great with its Material Design interface (which looks almost identical to Google Now), but it also gives you access to over 30 million songs from the Google Music service. While this is a streaming-only music service, if you purchase songs, you will be able to download them for offline use (although you must purchase the same song twice if you want both your phone & your tablet to have it).

How do music apps work?

Music apps can come with tons of features. They might allow users to create their own playlist, view lyrics, look at artists’ information (biography), or even live chat with other fans! You may also be able to watch music videos right through the app!
